Reflection

This project helped me realize the importance of overall business understanding. By gaining an accurate understanding of the business perspective and the surrounding environment, it allows designers to solve the problems in a more efficient way by looking at the bigger picture while keeping end-user in mind. It is essential for designers to not just focus on making designs pixel perfect but also understanding how a particular solution will impact the business.

I also learned how to pitch ideas to clients with justifying design decision from a standpoint of how it's going to make the company money, grow audience and/or make their experiences better.

Additional Discussion

Points which are not covered in this case study but worth discussing in person:

  • Industry landscape research

  • Ideating different solutions

  • Product strategy & timeline

  • Wireframing the solution
